Something special about Oranges in Summer...Did you know that in the summer months perfectly ripe Oranges, while still hanging on the tree can start to once again show shades of green color? In the world of citrus farming it is called "re-greening". Simply stated, the warm daytime temperatures may cause reabsorption of chlorophyll back into the skin of the orange, causing the partial green color to occur. However, rest assured; in no way does it affect the deliciously sweet, tangy flavor!

Great Valencias!
I had a problem in that some of the oranges went bad not long after receipt, but Audrey from Pearson Ranch called and we worked it out. I had stored the oranges incorrectly. (Don't leave them in the closed shipping container in the basement - even if it is cool there!) So now I realize how to make the oranges last longer - basically store them in the refrigerator. Thanks for the help!

Lemons were great. Shipping was an issue, first it didn’t go out on time due to weather and then fedx left box outside an open gate on a long driveway. As a result recipient didn’t know it was there until much later.
